SocksWH also features an anti-abrasion zone to protect the Achilles area from the higher collars common in approach shoes, as well as an acti-flex zone to prevent bunching in the instep and support through the arch. Moisture Transfer Zones use Wickspun acrylic to draw moisture out of the Moisture Absorption Zones and up out of the footwear for rapid evaporation and elimination.

*Why Separate Zones?
Socks made of all natural yarns absorb and hold moisture. Socks made of all synthetic yarns create heat and only move the moisture back and forth against the foot-they cannot remove moisture. Socks using a blend of natural and synthetic yarns create fiber confusion, one yarn tries to attract moisture, the other repels, and nothing is accomplished. No other system can remove moisture as effectively as this patented technology.

Fiber Specific Details:

• Alpaca: This cashmere-like fiber is one of the most luxurious yarns available and comes from the Alpaca, a cousin to the Llama. SocksWH uses only the finest grade, providing incredibly soft comfort, triple the durability of wool alone, superior moisture absorption, and the potential to be up to 10 times warmer than wool, yet the flexibility to adapt to a wide range of climates. Alpaca is also a fabulous friction reducer; effectively helping to prevent blisters.
• Merino Wool: The finest grade of wool; naturally soft, absorbent, and an ability to adapt comfortably to a wide range of climates.
